Professor Koichiro Yamakado graduated from Kanazawa University in 1987, and he became a resident at Mie University Hospital. Then he belonged to the department of radiology at Mie University. He learned basic research at Oregon Health Science University from 1999 to 2000. He became a chief of department of Interventional Radiology at Mie University in 2009. He became a Clinical Professor at Mie University Hospital in 2012. He mover to Hyogo Medical University and became a chairman of department of Radiology in 2017. He has been a President of JSIR from 2020 and President of APSCVIR from 2022.
